The main components of the car, the main parts of the car

We shall discuss the fundamental elements or primary pieces of the car in this article. In this article, we'll go over the essential automotive components and describe each one's purpose.

Any car has a number of essential components that are indispensable, including:

The most important basic car parts:

Car engine

Gearbox or gearbox

Car chassis and car chassis

Cardan shaft or rotating shaft

Corona or rear axle

Front axle or cable

Car Tires

What is the engine of the car:

The car engine is the main source of power in the vehicle, and it is what makes the vehicle move, as the fuel burns inside the engine and generates high pressure known as combustion, which forces the pistons to reciprocating movement, and this movement is transmitted by the connecting rods to the crankshaft, which converts it into a rotational movement, and thus the crankshaft rotates and is transmitted Circular movement by means of transmission devices to the wheels, so the wheels rotate and the car moves.

In order for the engine to perform its work, it needs the fuel and air system, the ignition system, as well as the cooling system and the lubrication system.

The fuel system in the car engine:

The fuel system consists of a fuel tank, a pump, a nozzle for mixing fuel with air, and pipes to deliver fuel from the tank to the engine. In most modern engines, nebulizers are used instead of the feeder due to the quality of their atomizing fuel and reducing its consumption.

The ignition system in the car engine:

The engine needs an ignition system through which high-pressure electric sparks (up to 30,000 volts) can be obtained that ignite the mixture inside the combustion chamber.

Sparks are generated in the ignition coil and then connected to the engine combustion chambers at the end of the compression stroke to ignite the compressed air and fuel mixture in the combustion chambers, which results in the burning of the charge and its explosion, and then the engine rotates.

Car engine lubrication system:

The purpose of the car engine lubrication system is to provide the moving parts inside the engine with lubricating oil to facilitate their movement and protect them from wear.

Lubricating oil is used to protect the moving metal parts of the engine from damage as a result of their friction by preventing direct contact between any two metal surfaces that move relative to each other. Inside the engine body, the oil pump takes the oil from the oil collection container (cartier) and pushes it through holes in the engine body and the crankshaft (lubrication paths), and thus the oil reaches the chairs on which the rotating columns and the moving parts of the engine rest. car engine cooling system:

As the combustion of the air-fuel mixture generates high temperatures that reach more than a thousand degrees Celsius, the engine must get rid of part of this heat so that it does not get damaged as a result of its extreme heat, and this extra heat is disposed of by the cooling system.

The cooling system consists of cavities around the cylinders and combustion chambers called (cooling water shirts) and they are filled with water. When the engine rotates, the temperature of the cooling water rises as a result of its absorption of heat, then it is drawn by the water pump from the engine to the radiator, where the heat is transferred from the hot cooling water to the air pushed by The movement of the car and the cooling fan in the engine, after which the cooled water enters the body of the engine again, where it absorbs another amount of heat, and the process of transferring water from the engine to the radiator continues, and thus the heat generated by the engine can be cooled. Gear box or gear:

Transmission or gearbox, which is its scientific name in mechanical books and all references, gearbox, gearbox

   gear box

But in the workshops they call it Vitis, and this word is of French origin, and it means speed. In the following, we will talk about Vitis in the language of craftsmen and in the language of books and references, the transmission or the gear box. You can read a topic about manual gearbox malfunctions.

There are two types of gearboxes, a manual gearbox and the other an automatic gearbox. Let's get to know them.

Manual gearbox

What is the manual gearbox, quite simply, it is the part that controls the speed of the car, changing its speeds, and changing the gear mode to any of the speed modes that you desire.

Do not forget to read a topic about the work of the manual gearbox or the work of the gearbox

Automatic gearbox

An automatic gearbox is the stick. It has a safety button. You have to step on it in order to move between lanes. It is not a kofta. For the automatic gearbox, it has four main lanes, which are P, R, N, and D.

Car chassis and car chassis:

The car's chassis, the car's chassis, is an essential and important part of any car, because all parts of the car are installed on it

The body of the car is made of heavy and strong sheet metal

It is a mixture of minerals

And if the car body has any defect or problem

It exposes the driver of the car to severe danger. Therefore, the structure of the car that is afflicted with crookedness or fracture, it reduces the value of the car financially, and when a crookedness or curvature occurs in it, it must be addressed immediately. For example, in transport cars, the occurrence of any curvature in it leads to a lack of integrity in the course of the car, and this is just one example. Only dangers will occur.

The safety and security standards are also lower in the car.

Cardan shaft and spindle shaft:

Cardan column or spindle shaft The drive shaft transmits the power from the power transmission group to the differential gears at the axles of the two rear wheels and the drive shaft is more than a simple straight shaft, as it is connected at one end to the fixed-mounted transmission group and the other end is connected to the differential gears, which move up and down with Wheel spring movement. Crown or rear axle:

The caronna, or the rear axle, transmits the movement to the two wheels, and is called the differential gear: It is not necessary to have differential gears if the car goes in a straight line without turning. But when the car turns in a curve, the outer wheel must go farther than the inner wheel

Note: Differential gears are only available in rear traction vehicles and are inside the crown. A whole topic about corona or difference gears

Front axle or cable:

The front axle or the cable is called by two names because in some cars it is found in the form of a steering axle only, and this type is found in rear traction cars.

As for the front traction cars, it is found differently from the previous one, in the form of cables, and extra cables for transmission, but extra cables for steering the car.

Car Tires :

Car tires or wheels consist of the hub, the body and the rim. There is a basic difference between the driving wheels and the free (driven) wheels. While the free wheel is installed so that it is free to rotate on the heel of the axle, the driven wheel is fixed to the axle shaft by means of pins. The body of the wheel is connected to its shaft by bolts with nuts, or by means of a special mounting bracket. Topic cam about car tires or car wheels. A whole topic about car tires
